Matthew Allan, Associate Broker with the Moves With A Purpose Team, Keller Williams Savannah Downtown, has been nominated for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Man of the Year. Matthew, along with eleven other men and woman, vie for the title of LLS Man & Woman of the Year by raising as much money as possible for blood cancer research, community outreach, and patient services.
Matthew was nominated for this title by friends, family, and associates who know of his efforts to improve the Savannah community. Along with the rest of the Moves With A Purpose realty team, Matthew donates 10% of every commission he makes to local non-profits and charities. Together with his team, they raised over $25,000 in 2014 and are on track to reach their goal of $50,000 in donations for 2015.
The LLS Man & Woman of the Year campaign runs for 10 weeks from March 26th to June 5th. During that time candidates raise money by asking for donations, planning and holding fundraising events, and sometimes getting very creative in their fundraising efforts.
Matthew and his campaign team, Team Kyra & Dylan (named after the Savannah LLS Boy & Girl of the Year), have been fortunate to partner with several local businesses for fundraising events in Savannah.
Zoes Kitchen on Victory Drive will host several 15% Donation Nights and are planning several other upcoming fundraising events:
On May 8th, Scribble Studio is donating instructional and studio costs during a “Paint for the Cure” event. Participants will be given the proper tools and instruction to create a one of a kind work of art for a donation of $35.
On May 29th, Team Kyra & Dylan are hosting a Benefit Concert with the Hypnotics at Social Downtown. During the concern, they will be holding 50/50 raffles, auctions, and other fundraising efforts.
